Dorothy Hall ~ Lena M. Gantt Distiguished Community Service Award


11th Annual Signature Luncheon


alt Regrettably, due to an unforeseen journalistic obligation, Michel Martin is not available to speak at our 11th Annual Signature Luncheon. Please join us in welcoming, Dr. Marvin McMickle, president of Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School on October 14, 2014, 12:00p.m., at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center as our keynote speaker. 

During the luncheon four outstanding volunteers will be commemorated for their advocacy, commitment to reducing poverty, building a stronger community, and advancing equity-oriented structural change.  

The James M. McCuller Award for Excellence, first given in 1994 was created to recognize individuals who exemplify the attributes demonstrated by the late James McCuller, former ABC Executive Director.  He believed in constantly striving to improve himself and those he served. Congratulations Avery True Blackman the 2014 recipient. 
Since 1984 the Lena M. Gantt Distinguished Community Service Award has been presented to honor an individual whose record of dedicated community service bests reflects the life work of Lena M. Gantt a devoted community advocate. This year we honor Dorothy Hall.
Elliott Landsman Head Start Community Volunteer Award observes a Head Start community volunteer whose leadership and commitment to our mission embodies the extraordinary support and passion of Elliott Landsman. We proudly present this award to Dyrell Jackson.
